The latest version of the MyEtherWallet (MEW) wallet introduces several key updates aimed at enhancing both security and user experience in the Ethereum ecosystem. Some significant features in the new version include:
Non-Custodial Control: MEW remains a non-custodial wallet, which means users retain full control of their private keys and funds. This setup ensures that only the user has access to their assets, enhancing security.
Expanded Fiat-to-Crypto Features: MEW has introduced an "exit-to-fiat" gateway, allowing users to exchange up to $5,000 worth of crypto (Bitcoin or Ethereum) into fiat currencies like Euros or Swiss Francs without requiring Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. This new feature was developed in collaboration with Bity, a Swiss financial intermediary.
